Home-Start offers a unique service, recruiting and training volunteers who are usually parents themselves- to visit families at home who have at least one child under 5 to offer free, informal, friendly and confidential support. Through a network of trained and CRB checked volunteers who are parents or have relevant experience we support hundreds of parents and children who are experiencing difficulties of one kind or another. Our families need support for many reasons including social isolation, post-natal depression, disability, bereavement or the illness of a parent or child.
